Hi Bianca, don't be hesitate if you want to make a post in this blog if you want to share your experiences too (you could register easily). Many Indonesians were surprised about the Tong Tong festival when it was featured in local newspapers and magazines. I haven't gone to Netherlands, but I would love to go there someday since I have family there who emigrated during Old Order regime.

It's amazing my oma came into contact with her sister after decades (perhaps 40 years or more) in 2001. She visited Netherlands at 2001, I'm very glad she visited her fatherland before passed away.

My husband and I went to the Pasar Malam (Tong Tong) in 2005 and had a wonderful time ! All the food !!! My 50th birthday present was a trip back to my homeland where I was born...The Netherlands. The last time I was there was in 1973 and before that 1962 when we emigrated to the USA. So many changes. A lot more brown people live there now than before.
